Ellen to inject humor into ‘American Idol’
In a pretty surprising move, Idol has hired Ellen to replace Paula as one of the main judges in the highest rated television show in America.
“I’m thrilled to be the new judge on ‘American Idol,’” DeGeneres said in a statement. ”I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.”
“I could not be more excited to have Ellen join the ‘American Idol’ family,” said creator and executive producer Simon Fuller. “Ellen has been a fan of the show for many years, and her love of music and understanding of the American public will bring a unique human touch to our judging panel. I can’t wait for this next season to begin.”
Neither can I.

‘Hancock’ stars to return for sequel
“Everybody’s going to come back for a sequel,” said the director (Peter Berg) in response to a question about Will Smith and Charlize Theron.
“Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride!” says Theron.
For the sequel, Berg said we can expect the appearance of at least one more all-powerful god. What’s more, he’s got his eye on a well-known name to play a third superhero.
“We have [someone in mind],” Berg said. “I’m not gonna tell you who, but we have!”

New TV spot for ‘Ninja Assassin’

From the director of ‘V for Vendetta’ comes a new movie about… you guessed it, ninjas.  Action looks fierce, the director definitely picked up some stuff doing assistant work on the Matrix films and Speed Racer.  Looking forward to it.

New photo of Clark Kent in ‘Smallville’
Last season of CW’s ‘Smallville’ features Clark Kent starting to fully take on the Superman persona. I used to watch this show a long time ago, maybe will catch up one really boring weekend.  Does anyone still watch this show?

If you can get past the dreadful long music edit from this UK trailer, you’ll see a lot more story of the new TV series ‘Flash Forward,’ premiering Sep. 24th on ABC.
